Personal Data means details which identify you or could be used to identify you, such as your name and contact details, your travel arrangements and purchase history. It may also include information about how you use our websites and mobile applications.
Special categories of data
We may process personal data using to determine your physical or mental health. (“sensitive personal data” in accordance with GDPR). We collect these personal data only if it is required to do so to provide you with carriage services, or if you deliberately submitted them to us.
We can collect this information in the following cases:
For your safety. If your state of health is specific, you must inform us thereof, and, if required, present a medical certificate or have medical checkup.
If you request special in-flight services or assistance, thus you may discloser to us the data on your health.

We collect your Personal Data whenever you use our services, including when you travel with us, when you use our website or mobile applications, or interact with us via email. Certain pages on the Georgian Airways site have links to the websites of other companies. As Georgian Airways cannot be responsible for how these companies handle your personal data, you are advised to read the policy of these sites carefully in regard how they process and protect personal data.
What types of personal information do we collect?
When ordering or registering on our site, you will need to provide us with your personal details:
Your name, address, email, contact details, date of birth, gender, passport number, your account details and payment information. 
If you buy tickets for someone else, we may collect your billing information but may communicate with the passenger directly about their flight.
We will know if you booked your flight on georgian-airways.comor used another sales channel such as a travel agent or other booking sites.

To fulfill your travel arrangements and deliver the services you have asked for;

Who do we share personal data with?
We may share your personal information with third parties in the following circumstances:
To help and perform services you request: business partners, suppliers and subcontractors who provide  services to us or where necessary to perform a service that you have requested.
To serve relevant adverts to you and others: partner advertisers and advertising networks that require that information to select and serve relevant adverts to you and others.
To help us improve our services: analytics and search engine providers to help us improve and optimize our services.
To comply with a legal obligation: if required to do so by law or in response to a request from law enforcement or another regulatory authority. We may disclose your personal information to enforce our agreements with you or to protect the rights, property or safety of Expert Agent, its users or others. How do we protect your privacy?
To ensure the security of your personal data, the booking system used by Georgian Airways encrypts information using SSL technology. The use of SSL allows all personal information such, as your credit card number to be encrypted as it travels from your computer to Georgia Airways booking system. If your browser supports SSL, please select the Secure Mode option when confirming your booking, credit card and other personal information will be protected by this technology. 
If your browser does not support SSL, we recommend you to update to the latest version of any browser to improve the security of transactions, otherwise the transmission of your personal information may not be protected and Georgian Airways disclaims any responsibility in this regard.
E-mail Services
In order to send you commercial (marketing) information, you get this specific consent of yours which can be canceled at any time.
From time to time we may contact you to inform you of special ticket offers, advantages of our services, co-operative promotional actions of Georgian-Airways and partners, our news, including our E-news via e-mail. You can accept or refuse to receive such information, indication the option you choose when booking services. Later, you will be able to opt out of marketing newsletters in each e-mail you receive from us.
We can also send you Push Notification messages and other SMS texts through other communication systems to inform you about your flight, or to get your feedback concerning the quality of in-flight service.
We ask you to inform us only about such personal data that is required to render the service or newsletters you chose, or a reply to you special request/claim. At the same time, if you decide to inform us about any additional personal data, we will be able to process them with due level of protection.
Do we use cookies?
We may store information about you using cookies, which we can assess when you visit our site in the future. These are compact pieces of information stored on the hard drive of your computer. What is our legal basis for using your personal data?
Georgian Airways will only process your personal information under General Data Protection Regulation EU (2016/679) and Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection (28.12.2011):
We need to use your information so that we can process your booking, fulfill your travel arrangements and otherwise perform the contract we have with you.
It is in Georgian Airways’ legitimate interests as an airline to use your personal information to operate and improve our business as an airline and travel provider.
Georgian Airways needs to use your personal information to comply with a legal obligation.
To protect the vital interests of you or another person.
If processing of your data is subject to any other laws, then the basis of processing your data may be different to that set out above and may in those circumstances be based on your consent in all cases.
Disclosure of your personal data to third parties
In order to enable you to use our services, we must disclose your personal information to third parties, which include the following:
State authorities
In cases stipulated by law, we are required to disclose your personal information to government agencies. These agencies may include law enforcement agencies, border guard offices, immigration authorities of the countries to which you travel with us. If we don't disclose your personal data to these authorities according to their legal requirement, you may be denied traveling at the point of departure or you will not give permission to enter the point of destination.
Partner airlines
While providing air transport services we must share some of your personal information with our partner airlines. Among them: Air France, Air Baltic, KLM, Austrian Airlines and other airlines which are member of IATA. We will share your personal information with these airlines only in cases where they are involved in your transportation. In addition, if any of the partner airlines is involved in your transportation, it will have a possibility to disclose your personal data to their ground handling agents.
Ground handling partners
Georgian-Airways cooperates both with ground handling companies and the Tbilisi International Airport own handling. The main handling partners are Airline Services, KLM, Czech Airlines, Vienna Airport, Aerohandling, Alyzia, UTG, Iberia, GH Bologna, SwissPort, AHS, Kazan Airport, Bratislava Airport, Zvartnots Airport, Pulkovo Airport, Tav Urban Georgia. We need to disclose your personal data to our partners to check you and your baggage in for the flight. In addition, for flights to certain destinations, we instruct our ground handling agents to check your personal data for their compliance with the terms of entry.
Other partners
You often book tickets for our flights through a network of agents that use the services of the global distribution system (GDS).  Thus, booking systems get access to your personal information at the moment of booking. In addition, the air ticket booking processes directly involves the airline reservation system that allows such a booking. This happens for the sole purpose of enabling you to book a ticket, order any other additional services or make changes to your booking.
Our main booking and ticketing system, through which we transfer personal data is SITA Reservation System. This system meets all safety standards.
We also provide access to your personal data to the developers of our booking and ticketing system and online check-in systems, who are personal data processors, in order to maintain the operation of these systems. The main developers are Sita and Websky.

How we will inform you of changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy came into effect on 23 May 2018 replacing our previous Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy applies to all information we process about you in connection with your relationship with us as a customer or potential customer.
